“Water is Life”, a Short Story

In this video, Captain Garcia brings us into his life to share his passion of the Everglades and all the life that it holds. Nicolas believes that freshwater is the most valuable asset to the Florida ecosystem, and the Everglades just happens to carry more freshwater than anywhere in the State and most of the country. The Everglades faces countless threats from development to saltwater intrusion. If any of these threats continue to develop most of the Floridians will lose access to reliable and safe drinking water. The Everglades contributes millions of dollars a year to the Florida economy and provides people like Nico a place to work.
